Peace be with you!
Peace be with you!
Is the Glendale Church of the Brethren right for you? By answering the following questions you will be able to discern if the Glendale Church is where God is calling you:
Questions about Purpose:
Do you have the vision and desire to be part of the hard but rewarding work involved in a church revitalization. Do you want to look back and say that you were you a part of God’s plan to rebuild a church vital to the community? Are you a person of vision?
Questions about Spirituality:
Are you dissatisfied with what passes for Jesus’ Gospel at many churches today? Do you find pop books like “Purpose Driven Life” and “Left Behind” to be spiritually deficient? Are you seeking a deeper spirituality that challenges your mind as well as comforts your heart?
Questions about Church Community:
Do you desire to belong to a community that is centered on Christ? Would you enjoy coming to worship where people not only know you by name but who actually care about you? Do you desire to be a part of a faith community where we show concern for each other in word and in deed?
If you answered yes to the following questions, then I want to be the first to welcome you home and look forward to seeing you in church soon. We are seeking people who not only want to be on the ground floor of an exciting church “restart,” but who are also dissatisfied with what passes for the gospel at many churches today. Many are satisfied to find their spiritual answers in pop books like “Purpose Driven Life” and the “Left Behind” series of books, we are a church for people who want a deeper spirituality that engages the mind as well as the heart.
At Glendale Church of the Brethren we are a loving church community that seeks the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the way towards personal and societal transformation.
Finally we are a “community of faith” – what this practically means is that we are “there” for each other in times of need, we speak the truth in love to each other, and we believe that actions speak louder then words.
