“This is a day of new beginnings”

sunset-bird-_1.jpg© Photograph by Pastor John taken at Point Mugu.  All Rights Reserved”Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth.” Revelation 21:1 There is wonderful commercial out now by the state of Michigan which states that the average person will have only 27,000 mornings in their life time.   The commercial then goes on to state that you will be blessed if you get to spend those mornings in Michigan.  While I am a proud Michigander, I would have to say that California mornings (and especially sunset) are not so bad either.What is key is how you choose to appreciate those sunrises and sunsets.   The Old Testament way of figuring days was different then ours, they taught that the new day began at sun down.  I like that idea because it means my day begins with reflection on the 24 hours that has just passed.   It is my belief that the best way to start a new day, is to give thanks for all the blessings of the past day, and to let go of any hurt, pain that might have also occurred. Peace, Pastor John
