Google ‘Point Dume, Malibu,’ go to maps, and then switch to the satellite view.  There you will see it this geological feature thrusting out into the deep open ocean.

This unique place allows you to walk out into the deep to great a wonderful view of seals, dolphins, and even whales!  It is so easy to spend hours there just looking at the beautiful view and keeping a sharp eye for these magnificent creatures.

It surprises me how many people choose to watch a nature channel on television when they could instead get out there and see the real thing with their own eyes!

Yet, I also wonder why so many people will watch worship on television when they could actually get out there and experience God directly through their brothers and sisters in Christ!    It is just not the same listening/watching worship on the radio or television…it lacks punch.

I found the same thing to be true with classical music, you can listen to it on a great sound system, but nothing compares to having a full orchestra of professionals playing the music of the ages right there before you!

I guess people just give up on life…they would rather observe life rather then live it.  Fortunately, God does not give up on us!  It is still possible for you to grab your life before it slips away.  Jesus says “I stand at the door and knock…” (Revelation 3:20) and I think not only would he like to come into your life, but is asking if you would like to go out and play in God’s good creation.

 Peace,

Pastor John
