Tahiti Waves – Eat and Fly

This Seagull is trying to eat lunch on the rocks. Some kind shell organism is attached to the rocks and the Seagull is feasting on the slimy center.
Unfortunately this lunch is for the birds because the Seagull’s lunch is being interrupted by the Tahiti waves (These waves have traveled 4,000 miles from Tahiti to Point Mugu.) which overwhelm the rocks. However, the Seagull is not worried and it just hops up into the air, waits for the waves to pass and then resumes lunch.
We are always looking for calm and serenity in our environment, but in truth our environment is dynamic and always changing. Peace comes from within and we can choose adapt to the environment we find ourselves in. I call this ability – riding the waves.
Our faith gives us peace not by making our environment placid, but by giving us the ability to “ride the waves.”
Peace
